2015 CNP Expo

Instabill will make its sixth appearance at a tradeshow in the calendar year when it attends the 2015 CNP Expo May 18-21 at the Caribe Royal in Orlando. The show marks Instabill’s first appearance at the 2015 CNP Expo. Instabill will be represented by Founder and CEO Jason Field as well as Sales Lead Kenny Ross and Senior Copywriter Chris O’Donnell.

The CNP Expo is unique from other tradeshows in that it is the only show devoted to card-not-present merchants and issues. Its attendee list is traditionally 50 percent merchants and 50 percent payments industry officials such as processors (like Instabill), banks and payment gateways, vendors and payments industry attorneys.

The staffs at CardNotPresent.com and Instabill are well familiar with one another. CNP’s offices are located in Newburyport, Mass., just 19 miles south of Instabill’s hub in Portsmouth, N.H. “The CNP Expo is a chance for us to offer our array of payment solutions not just to prospective partners, but potential merchants,” said Mr. Field. “We are looking forward to meeting both existing and potential merchants and partners at the CNP Expo next month.”

Hot Button Topics Up for Discussion at CNP Expo

Instabill is attending the 2015 CNP Expo for the first time – and its timing couldn’t be better with several major payments industry issues taking center stage. Foremost will be the transition from magstripe credit cards to EMV, coupled with the effect it is projected to have on e-commerce and card-not-present merchants.

If history is any indicator, card-not-present (CNP) fraud will rise. When EMV chip-enabled credit cards were implemented in both Europe and particularly Canada earlier this decade, CNP fraud rose significantly. Merchants, banks and payment processors are gearing for a similar impact.

Payments security has been a red hot issue evidenced by the rash of credit card data breaches over the last two years. Additionally, the perennial subject of chargebacks and friendly fraud will be addressed as will the acceptance of bitcoin and emergence of mobile payments.

CNP Expo the Latest Stop

Over the first half of the year, Instabill has traveled all over the world to attend tradeshows where it has established partnerships with PSPs, ISOs and banks. Mr. Field traveled to the Cards & Payments Asia show last week in Singapore and previously attended Transact 15 in San Francisco. Earlier this year, Instabill representatives were present at the Northeast Acquirers Association show in Boston and Ice Totally Gaming in London.

Next week, Mr. Field will attend the Global Acquirers Conference in London.
